THE VENUE and the Karaoke Operator get fines, even if you have paid the performance license fee. I can also provide you with consultancy services to check your current music set up. Rogue and illegal operators are a scourge and can be very expensive. Avoid operators that are too “cheap”. Songs are expensive and in the main this service cannot be provided dirt cheap without illegal downloads and piracy.

The Venue will also need a Karaoke Licence for the Karaoke Shows per night in addition to other APRA/AMCOS/PPCA licences. Soon to be OneMusic.
Avoid DJ’s that focus on Private “Back Yard” Parties, they can be a big risk for Public Performance in Pubs and Clubs, check their Music Content thoroughly. I have consulted APRA, AMCOS, PPCA, & ARIA personally and know how to be 100% Legal.
